[Forum] Conformance with ISO 8601 For Dates
Basically, for the box to the right of older threads, use YYYY-MM-DD instead of DD-MM-YYYY. I just looked at a thread and it said "01-03-2013", and it took me a while to figure out what that meant. America tends to use MM-DD-YYYY, so it could be confusing to quite a few other people.

Under Date and Time Options, you can select your preferred format.

YYYY-MM-DD isn't an option, but I'll manage with what I'm given.

Would it be possible to implement some of the formats introduced by XKCD? I think date-as-an-equation might catch on if you include it.

I'll look into it.

EDIT: Highly unlikely that this will get fixed in the foreseeable future. This would involve modifying core files. I could probably find the right area, but when core updates come around, any modifications I make will be overwritten. I'll keep digging around, though.

Okay, fixed. Easier than I thought, actually. If you set the option under the date format to the default, you'll have what you are looking for.

EDIT: Moving to Site Bugs
